I'm Officially Out of the Office (and full-time working from home for myself)

I designed a new accounting farewell card in honor of the Great Resignation and the expected post-April 15 quitting spree:

It's great as a farewell card to send to you coworkers, or as a retirement card for your retiring accounting colleagues who have wrapped up their last busy season. You can purchase a copy of the card here.

I liked this card so much I even decided to test it out myself! I just left my job as a Forensic Partner with Crowe/Briggs & Veselka, and today marks my first official day as owner of Flat Fee Consulting.

At Flat Fee Consulting, I’ll be focusing on two primary areas:

Financial Forensics – helping small to mid-sized businesses and their owners on forensic matters
Accounting Data Cleanup – helping small to mid-sized accounting firms get their PBCs into a more usable format (i.e. converting PDFs to Excel, or Excel/CSVs into more usable Excel files)

I’ll also be spending more item on developing more accounting gifts and cards for RuBook Creative! So although it’s difficult putting up a permanent “out of office” with my former employers, I’m super excited for my next venture!
